At Mitre 10 Alexandra, we're proud to be a family-friendly, community-focused store helping our customers bring their DIY, home improvement, and gardening projects to life. We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable team members to join our team on a fixed-term basis during a busy trading period.

Available Roles

Role 1: Retail Team Member

 

 

• Fixed-term position
• 27 hours per week
• Saturday to Tuesday

Role 2: Retail Team Member

 

 

• Fixed-term position
• 11.5 hours per week
• Saturday and Sunday

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and product advice
• Assist customers with their DIY, hardware, garden, and home improvement projects
• Replenish stock and maintain merchandising displays
• Operate tills and process customer transactions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure an excellent shopping experience

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable and hardworking
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• An interest in DIY, hardware, gardening, or home improvement products is an advantage
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock safely, as manual handling is a regular part of the role
• Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
