MEGA Papamoa Garden Retail Team Member

As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we’re now recruiting for Retail Garden Team Members to join our new store across our Outdoor and Indoor Garden teams. We have a mix of full-time and part-time opportunities, working across 2to 5 days per week, including one weekend day.

This is your chance to join from the start, be part of a busy garden team, and help create an inviting and easy-to-shop garden centre experience for customers in a brand-new MEGA store environment.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll help customers choose plants and garden products by providing practical advice and helpful service. You’ll also play an important part in keeping the garden centre looking its best by maintaining plant health, presentation standards, seasonal displays, and safe, clear walkways.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide advice on plant selection, care, and seasonal needs, and upsell complementary products where appropriate
  
• Water, prune, and carry out pest checks, and rotate stock to support plant health and presentation
• Set up seasonal and promotional displays and ensure accurate ticketing
• Keep all areas safe and clear, including maintaining safe walkways, hose management, and spill control.

What You’ll Bring

• Customer service and clear communication
• Attention to detail and care for plant health
• Time management and adaptability across tasks
• Basic horticultural knowledge, or a willingness to learn
• Confidence using inventory and ticketing systems in a garden centre environment, or the ability to learn quickly
• Safe use of hoses, ladders, and garden equipment, along with PPE awareness
