We have an exciting opportunity for a Data & Platform Engineering Manager to join our Albany-based Support Centre and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data and AI. As part of our Digital & Strategy team, you’ll be the foundation to empower data-driven decision making. You’ll lead a dedicated team of data professionals, driving innovation and excellence in data engineering, analytics, and platform management.

About the Role

As the Data Platform & Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead and grow the skills of a small team of data engineers.
  • Own the data platform strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Drive best practices in data engineering, including automation, CI/CD, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, Coalesce and Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable data pipelines that power analytics, AI, and decision-making.
  • Champion data governance and quality standards across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in data engineering leadership and managing technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data architecture (preferably AWS, Coalesce and Snowflake).
  • Expertise in ELT processes, data modelling, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerisation, and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to align technology and data initiatives with business value, delivering outcomes in an agile environment.
