We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trade Zone Leader to take ownership of our Trade operations and drive performance across multiple key areas of the business.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of the entire Trade Zone, ensuring our Trade teams work together seamlessly to deliver exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and strong business results.

About the Role

As the Trade Zone Leader, you will provide leadership across the Trade operation, including the:

• Drive Thru Team
• Landscape Yard Team
• Trade Inwards Goods Team
• Trade Stocktake Team
• Dispatch Function

Reporting too and working closely with the Trade Manager, you will align these areas to ensure efficient workflows, excellent stock availability, accurate inventory management, timely dispatch, and outstanding service for our Trade customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, creating a highly engaged and capable team while fostering a positive, high-performing Trade culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all Trade operational teams to ensure seamless daily execution.
• Drive operational efficiency across the Drive Thru, Landscape Yard, Trade Inwards Goods, Trade Stocktake and Dispatch functions.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered across all Trade touchpoints.
• Develop and mentor team members to achieve high performance and career growth.
• Build a positive, accountable and customer-focused team culture.
• Monitor team levels and allocate resources effectively to meet business demands.
• Maintain stock integrity and inventory accuracy through effective stock management processes.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions to enhance productivity and service levels.
• Support health, safety and operational compliance standards across all Trade areas.
• Work collaboratively with the Trade leadership team to support Trade growth, customer retention and market share objectives.
• Lead from the floor, providing visible support and guidance to the team every day.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are an energetic, approachable and decisive leader who enjoys developing people, driving operational excellence and creating a culture where teams take ownership and deliver results.

You have proven experience leading operational teams within a retail, trade, logistics, warehouse, building supplies, or distribution environment and understand how to balance customer expectations with operational efficiency.

Most importantly, you can create a highly effective Trade operation that enables the wider Trade leadership team to focus on growing customers, increasing sales, and expanding market share.
