Trade Team Member - Mitre 10 Gisborne

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who can roll up their sleeves and assist our Trade Team, in the yard, drive through and the Trade Counter. Your focus will  be providing excellent customer service to each and every customer who comes through the department all while assisting them to make sure they get everything they need to complete their job! 

This position will have a minimum of 24 hours per week, reporting directly to the Trade Manager. Hours and days to be discussed during the interview stage.

A good level of physical fitness is required to help lift timber and other materials, as well as being on your feet all day. 

You should also have:

• The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• The ability to adapt and be flexible to manage a varied and busy workload and take instructions
• A full driver’s license with the ability to get a forklift license, if not already obtained.
• Knowledge of products within building supplies, timber and trade related products would be an advantage
• A passion for customer service
• Previous cash handling skills;
• Experience with a POS system (specific training given)
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Reliable with good time management
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Duties will include:

• Providing the highest standard of customer service;
• Ensuring all checkout transactions are processed quickly and efficiently;
• Willing to "go that extra mile" for customers;
• Maintain a high level of department presentation;
• Ensure that security procedures are followed
