our first Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have expanded to include five Mitre
10 MEGA stores: Albany, New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale. Our
stores are not only known for their extensive product range but also for
offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, including Columbus Coffee cafés.
Additionally, we operate a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss
Manufacturing Plant, ensuring end-to-end service for both retail and trade
customers.

About the role
As we continue to uphold our commitment to excellence, we're seeking a skilled sales coordinator / sales administrator to seamlessly transition into the role. You would report to the Trade Manager of Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn and your role will be pivotal in providing outstanding customer service and adept administrative support to our successful Trade Sales team and customer base.
What will you bring?
- You would have a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience working in a high-performing, busy trade environment in a support capacity.
- You would have an operational knowledge and understanding of the supply chain process.
- You would be a communications whiz managing multiple relationships efficiently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, customers and suppliers alike.
- You would be known for your organizational and time management skills as well as your methodical approach to work.
- You would be sales driven and pride yourself in being a customer focused professional.
- Words like resilience, tenacity and continuous improvement would accurately describe you.
- You would have the ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
- You would have a high level of IT competence.
- Additionally, possession of a Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s license would be advantageous.
What would your day involve?
- Your day could include some procurement, preparing tenders and quotes, maintaining quote data and identifying trends, following up on/converting quotes, price negotiation & invoicing, taking and processing orders, dealing with client enquiries and organizing transport for direct to site orders (basically following orders through from inception to delivery).
- You would be working independently and as part of a wider team on both day-to-day accountabilities and project work.
- Proactively provide solutions to prospective and existing customers, by exploring their needs and recommending solutions as appropriate
- Contribute to a collaborative atmosphere with a positive, helpful and friendly attitude
