Trade Operations Specialist

We have an exciting 6-month opportunity for a Trade Operations Specialist to join our Albany-based Support Centre and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our trade business.
As part of our Trade and Customer Teams, you’ll partner with stores and trade teams to embed best practices, optimize cost-to-serve, and ensure seamless execution of our service promises. You’ll be at the heart of enhancing customer experience and supporting capability development across the network.
About the Role
As the Trade Operations Specialist, you will:- Act as the key link between Trade and store teams, embedding Playbook v2.0 and best practice across operations.
- Lead improvements in delivery management, Drive Thru operations, and inwards goods processes.
- Optimize order make-up, staging, and dispatch processes to meet service promises and next-day delivery.
- Design and maintain performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to track KPIs and drive insights.
- Deploy new operational programs and tools, ensuring successful adoption and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong operational understanding and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- High level of analytical literacy and data analysis capability, including proficiency with BI tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI).
- Experience in statistical modeling and interpreting complex data sets to drive insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience within the building and construction (or related) industries.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for improving operational performance and customer experience.
