We’re opening a brand‑new Mitre 10 MEGA in Papamoa, and we’re looking for an experienced, relationship‑driven Trade Manager with the leadership presence, strategic mindset, and commercial acumen to build our trade business from the ground up.

About the role

This is a leadership-first role.  You won't just manage trade - you'll create it, shape it and lead it.  You'll build a high-performing team, own the strategy for growing the customer base, and set the standard for what exceptional trade partnerships look like across Papamoa and the wider Bay of Plenty.

You’ll report to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in the store’s success by:

Team Leadership & Performance

• Set the direction, rhythm and standards for a strategically important part of the business
• Coach, develop and motivate your team to deliver consistently strong results
• Lead 2 x Account Managers and 1 x Trade Administrator (with growth potential)

Customer & Stakeholder Relationships

• Build strong relationships with builders and subcontractors across the Bay
• Leverage your network to grow new business and strengthen our market presence
• Represent Mitre 10 MEGA Papamoa as the trusted partner of choice

Business Growth & Operations

• Shape the trade offer and customer experience
• Oversee trade service desk and drive‑through operations
• Set targets, monitor performance and drive sustainable growth
• Work closely with the General Manager and department leads to align trade across the wider store
