Trade Drive Thru Team Member - Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua

Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua is a local family‑owned and operated business! We are a diverse and growing company, with a vision to provide great quality products and the best value and expertise to enable our customers to have an affordable and easy DIY experience.

We are currently looking for a Team Member to join our thriving store in the Trade Drive Thru on a permanent full-time basis(40 hours p/w).

Availability to work one weekend day is required. This role will generally be rostered Tuesday - Saturday. Work rosters will be published at least two weeks in advance to provide adequate notice of your scheduled shifts.

You must have a Full New Zealand Driver's License for this role. A forklift licence is a plus!!

What you can expect to do in this role:

Working with a ‘One Team’ approach

• Provide friendly and helpful service to our customers, which includes everyone from local tradies to the keen DIYers!
• Work in the elements picking and processing customers' orders 
• General housekeeping of the Trade Department
• Learning product knowledge to ensure that our customers receive the best experience 
• Helping to load and unload customers trailers and utes with their trade purchases

What we need from you:

 

• A genuine passion for customer service.
• A Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• A current Forklift Licence would be a bonus.
• A drive to succeed and strive for excellence.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to work as part of a team with an honest and fair mindset.
• A practical understanding of building, trade, or DIY products. Whether gained through previous employment, a trade background, or hands-on DIY experience, you'll be confident helping customers find the right solutions for their projects.
• The ability to carry out the manual handling requirements of the role. Heavy lifting is a regular part of this position.
  
  

 

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week) and is best suited to applicants seeking long-term employment. Due to the rostered hours and physical nature of the role, it is not suitable for after-school work.
