The Role
Our Trade Counter team are looking for someone who loves delivering first-class
customer service, with an outgoing, sunny personality and who doesn’t mind a
bit of hard work. This is a challenging but rewarding role, working together
with the Timber, Trade and Dispatch teams.
Your primary focus will be to assist our Trade and DIY customers with
helpful and accurate advice, making sure that they have everything they need to
complete their projects.
The role is mainly positioned at the Trade Counter and involves
processing transactions, checking product uplifted against that purchased,
replenishing stock, taking responsibility for the plumbing and building aisles,
and assisting with customer queries, orders and collections.
A mature outlook on life and workplace
computer literacy will make you an ideal candidate.
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week), working Sunday to Thursday.

You
You will have the ability to have a positive impact on sales, building
long-term, trust-based relationships. Going the extra mile will be your
norm. You will possess:
- computer literacy
- a drive and energy to get the job done right
- a good level of physical fitness (lifting is required)
- the ability to be on your feet all day
Previous customer service experience and/or building and timber
knowledge would be an advantage in this role, but it is your strong personal
values, in alignment with ours, that will make you successful at Mitre 10.
