This role is focused on supporting trade customers throughout Waihi and surrounding areas, building lasting relationships and helping drive growth across the region.

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Trade Account Manager to help grow our Trade & Retail business. You’ll play a key role in strengthening relationships with our valued trade customers, driving sales, and delivering exceptional service.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, and reporting directly to the Waihi Store Manager. 

This role involves regular travel throughout Waihi and surrounding areas to visit customers, identify opportunities, and strengthen business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and grow existing account customer relationships
• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Identify and pursue new sales leads through networking and referrals
• Conduct regular site visits to understand customer needs
• Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge

What you'll be doing:

• Growing sales within an existing portfolio of trade customers
• Developing and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities
• Preparing quotes and following up opportunities
• Working closely with the Trade Support and Inwards Goods teams to ensure customer expectations are met
• Maintaining accurate customer records and activity plans

What we are looking for:

• Previous sales, account management, or trade/customer service experience
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to achieving results
• The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sales
• Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is advantageous
• A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
