From our first store in Warkworth in 2009, we’ve expanded across Auckland with stores in Albany, New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale—plus our own Cafés, Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant, and a Distribution Centre.

About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time team member to join our busy Timber and Building Department at Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn. Whether you’ve worked in a trade yard, handled building supplies, or you’re keen to step in and learn, this could be the role for you.

This position is 16 hours per week, working across Friday AND Saturday. You’ll support a wide range of customers—from weekend DIYers to experienced tradies—helping them find the right materials for the job. You'll also operate saws, forklifts, and other machinery, and help maintain a well-organized and efficient yard.

What You’ll Bring
🔨 Experience in a trade yard, timber/building retail, or on-the-tools trade background
💪 Physical fitness – heavy lifting is part of the role
🎓 Forklift license (OSH & F Endorsement) – essential
🚗 Full, clean Class 1 driver’s license – essential
🛠 Problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn the ropes
