Purpose-built from the ground up, our brand-new Silverdale store sets a new benchmark for home improvement retail—with cutting-edge tech, massive range, and a community-first mindset.

 

🛠 About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a part-time team member to join our Timber and Building Department at Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale. If you’ve worked with timber, handled building supplies, or just love helping customers find the right gear for the job—this could be your next great role.

You’ll assist a range of customers—from seasoned tradies to weekend warriors—offering product advice and helping them load up. You’ll also operate forklifts and timber-cutting machinery, while keeping the yard tidy, safe, and efficient.

This part-time role includes 2–3 weekday shifts and at least 1 weekend day (Sunday preferred).

 

🧰 What You’ll Bring
🔨 Experience in a timber/building yard, hardware retail, or trade role
💪 Physical fitness – this is a hands-on, active role
🎓 Forklift license (OSH & F Endorsement) – essential
🚗 Full, clean Class 1 driver’s license – essential
🔧 Great attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
