Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd is the largest group within the Mitre 10 network and is proudly Kiwi-owned and operated. Since opening our first store in Warkworth in 2009, we have grown to operate four Mitre 10 MEGA stores in Albany, New Lynn, Silverdale and Warkworth, alongside Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa. Our business also includes Columbus Coffee cafés, a Distribution Centre, and a Frame & Truss Manufacturing Plant.

Opened in 2023, Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale is a modern, purpose-built MEGA store with specialist Trade, Hardware and Garden departments. As a full-range store serving a fast-growing community, no two days are the same.

About the roles

We have a few, 1 weekend day, Team Member opportunities available at Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale across our Trade Counter, Hardware and Garden departments.

These roles are customer-focused and hands-on, supporting customers with product advice, sales, stock replenishment and maintaining high merchandising standards. Depending on the department, you'll work with products ranging from timber and building materials through to hardware, gardening supplies and landscaping products.

These are physically active roles where you'll spend most of your shift on your feet serving customers, moving stock, preparing orders and supporting your wider team. Some manual handling and lifting is required, so you'll need to be comfortable safely undertaking the physical requirements of the role.

What You'll bring

• Some previous retail, hospitality or trade experience where you've worked in a customer facing environment required.
• Interest in DIY, home improvement, gardening, landscaping or the trades
• Confident using computers, tablets and point-of-sale systems
• Confidence engaging with customers
• Comfortable working in a physically active role involving lifting, stock movement and replenishment
• Strong numerical skills and confidence working with measurements, quantities and product calculations (Trade Counter)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work rostered weekend only shifts
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable transport and the ability to get to and from the Silverdale store for shifts that may start at 7am or finish at 7pm
