Who We Are

Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd is the largest group within the Mitre 10 network, proudly Kiwi-owned and operated. From our beginnings with a single store in Warkworth in 2009, we’ve grown to include Mitre 10 MEGA Albany, New Lynn, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale, along with Columbus Coffee cafés, a Distribution Centre, and a Frame & Truss Manufacturing Plant. Mitre 10 has been helping Kiwis get the job done since 1974. We combine the backing of a national brand with the feel of a local business — practical, hands-on, and people-first. Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth is where it all started for us.

Right in the heart of the Kowhai Coast, this store is part of a growing, tight-knit community surrounded by coastline, regional parks, and the Mahurangi River. Since opening in 2011, we’ve built a team that genuinely backs each other and takes pride in what we do. We support local schools, clubs, and events and we were proud finalists for Mitre 10 Store of the Year 2023/2024.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent role (Sunday to Thursday, 42.5 hours) reporting to the Retail Manager.

You’ll be stepping up from Team Member level into your first (or early) leadership role — still very much part of the team, just with added responsibility.

You’ll help run a department day-to-day, support your team through busy trade, and step in when things need sorting. Whether that’s a customer issue, a process problem, or just keeping things moving. This is not a desk job; You’ll be on the floor, working alongside your team, leading by example.

  • Is practical, reliable, and gets stuck in

  • Working alongside your team; not watching from the sidelines
  • Keeping your department running smoothly and on track
  • Supporting team members and helping them improve
  • Handling customer queries and stepping in when things escalate
  • Keeping standards high across stock, presentation, and processes
