Supply Planner

We have a new opportunity available to join our Albany based Support Centre on a 5-month fixed term contract as a Supply Planner.

As part of our Merchandise team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of import product with the aim to efficiently and cost effectively import and distribute it operating within best practice systems and processes.

Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, your key functions will include: 

  • Order Management: For new product and repeat non-continuity stock orders a new authorised order form to be received from Category and Purchase Order placed from the information provided. New continuity product will be incorporated into the forecasting and planning cycle. Other non-continuity product should have an allocation prior to arrival.
  • Inventory Control: Use forecasted sales data to reorder SKUs monthly, maintain stock levels within specified bands, and avoid out-of-stock situations while adhering to inventory budgets.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Determine optimal shipping methods and dates, raise and place purchase orders, check supplier confirmations, and ensure accurate tracking of purchase orders. Monitor progress and address any variances. Correlate the necessary invoices e.g. from freight forwarder to cost the shipment on receipt and check the charges to ensure they are within agreed quotes, action the freight reconciliation.
  • Importation & Receipting: Track bookings, obtain necessary shipping documents, ensure accurate system statuses. Liaise with unpacking depots and prioritize deliveries.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate landed price differences, follow up on damages or short supplies, and process store orders within specified timelines.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in quoting and costing products
  • Familiar with and experienced in overseas purchasing, shipping and importing requirements
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
