Spare Parts Specialist

If you love BBQ’s, power garden, outdoor furniture, trailers, cabinetry, bathroom, we have an exciting opportunity available to join our Albany, Auckland based Support Centre as a Spare Parts Specialist.
Reporting to the Quality and Service Lead. This role will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching spare parts for various products Mitre 10 imports. Focus that the warehouse is well-organized, clean, and safe, and that the inventory is accurate and up to date. Working within a WMS ensuring data is correct for use within an internal Spare Parts Portal.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain and be responsible for a tidy warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts shipments, and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to the Quality and Service Lead.
- Sort, label, and store spare parts in designated locations, utilising InFlow Warehouse Management System and warehouse equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare spare parts orders for delivery or pickup, following customer specifications and quality standards.
- Load and unload spare parts from trucks, vans, or other vehicles, using pallet jacks, a forklift, or manual lifting. There is an expectation that you can lift 25kgs.
- Conduct regular stock checks and stock counts and update inventory records accordingly.
- Identify and report any stock issues, such as low levels, excess, or obsolete parts, and suggest solutions to the Quality and Service Lead.
- Product assembly for sample checks.
Your background will include:
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or spare parts environment.
- Knowledge of spare parts, inventory management, and warehouse operations. Read schematics.
- Proficiency in using barcode scanners and inventory management software,
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy and bulky spare parts safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Good communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
