Mitre 10 Kerikeri is locally owned and operated and renowned for our customer service. We have shifts available in our Showroom Decor Department, Hardware department and at our Customer Service Desk. All positions include one weekend shift and may include public holidays. 

Customer Services Supervisor

Our customer service role is a 32 hour per week position. 

 About the Role:

• Focus on provision of excellent customer service, ensuring the customers' satisfaction with sales assistance, level of service and conflict/problem resolution processes
• Supervise workflow, staffing levels and day to day operational requirements for checkouts and service desk.
• Support the Customer Service Team Leader with staff supervision responsibilities.
• Operate and train on the point-of-sale system, ensuring customer transactions and payments are processed in a prompt, efficient, accurate and friendly manner.
• Supervise the service desk to ensure refunds and all customer transactions are processed accurately and within policy.

An Ideal Candidate will have:

•  strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

• a quick and alert mind for problem solving, multitasking and organising
• an ability to adapt, be flexible and a willingness to learn
• flexibility of potentially more available hours
• the ability to lead and motivate a small team
• physical fitness with no restrictions on lifting
• Customer service and cash handling experience is preferred

Retail Team Members

Two part-time positions - Hardware and Showrooms/Decor

Ideally, you’ll have some experience in retail or a relevant background but if you have years of DIY experience under your belt, that will be seen just as favourably. Either way, you will enjoy helping our customers get exactly what they need to get the Mahi done! These departments are fast-paced and heavy lifting is part of the role so a reasonable standard of physical fitness is a must!

Both roles are part-time positions with one weekend day shift

You’ll need:

• Enthusiasm and team spirit
• A passion for customer service excellence
• Good time management and a cool head when under pressure
• A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
• The ability to be on your feet for several hours at a time and to be able to work on a roster including a weekend day
• The ability to relay technical information to a range of customers with varying degrees of knowledge

The Successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service
• Maintaining high merchandising standards & managing stock
• Working closely & assisting in other departments if required
• Heavy lifting and physical movement are required
• Promoting health and safety, following safe work practices within your team at all times.

Casual Contract

We are also looking to grow our pool of Casual Team members. The successful candidates may be trained to work over multiple areas of the store. This type of contract offers flexibility for both you and the business.
