Senior Estimator

Mitre 10 MEGA Cambridge provides residential and commercial construction estimating services to our customers in the Waikato region. Based in Cambridge, we are looking for a Senior Estimating superstar who is proficient in understanding construction plans and extracting and quantifying building materials. Our projects are varied from spec houses through, multi-level residential, to large architectural homes as well as commercial buildings such as schools, office blocks and large industrial buildings.

This position largely involves residential estimating, so experience in architectural plan reading, building products, residential construction knowledge and CAD software use is an advantage. 

This is a challenging and dynamic role, one that will expose you to the full scope of architecture in New Zealand allowing you to utilise your extensive skillset while further developing your career in the construction industry.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the following attributes:

• have an eye for detail with good memory retention
• be computer literate
• good mathematical ability
• be prepared to work collaboratively within a team
• ability to work autonomously with good time management skills
• can manage and prioritise workload based off tender deadlines
