Seasonal Department Team Member Opportunities

Join the Seasonal team at Mitre 10 MEGA Prestons and help our customers make the most of spring and summer.

Our Seasonal department is heading into its busiest time of year, and we’re looking for two customer-focused, sales-driven Team Members to join our team.

Seasonal is all about helping customers make the most of their outdoor spaces, from BBQs and outdoor furniture to camping and everything in between. We’re looking for people who can connect with customers, understand what they’re looking to achieve and help them find the right products to make their outdoor space their favourite place. 

We have two opportunities available:

Permanent Full Time

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 40 hours per week
• Permanent position

Fixed Term

• Friday to Monday
• Approximately 1 September to early February
• Fixed term position covering our busy spring and summer period

Please note: From time to time, you may be required to work across both our Prestons and Ferrymead stores.

• Enjoy talking to customers and understanding what they really need
• Have a natural sales approach and enjoy helping customers find the right solution
• Can confidently recommend products that genuinely add value to the customer’s project
• Have great energy and enjoy working in a busy retail environment
• Take pride in presentation, availability and maintaining a great-looking department
• Are reliable, proactive and happy to get stuck in
• Enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a positive culture
• Are comfortable working on their feet and in a physically active role

Retail or sales experience is an advantage, but it’s your ability to connect with customers, understand their needs and create a great experience that matters most.
