Seasonal Department - Retail Team Member
Mitre 10 Mega Mt. Wellington, is a dynamic and solid business with a vision to provide great quality products and the best value and expertise to all our customers.
This is a key role within our store, requiring a quick thinking and capable person to join our Seasonal team. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Retail manager, handling aspects of seasonal departments from customer service to handling all stock matters and one-off situations that arise on a day-to-day basis.
The Seasonal department is the area of the store that sells outdoor furniture, bbqs in the summer, and all our heating solutions in the winter. Other products found in this area are camping equipment and pool care products.
The person we seek to fulfil the function in the department must have the ability to remain cool under pressure and be able to think on their feet.
To be successful you must have:
- A passion for providing excellent customer service - every customer every time;
- Be a detail minded self-starter;
- Be able to multi-task, and have the ability to follow through and follow up things up in a timely manner;
- Physically Fit
- Confidence to make decisions as required;
- A can do attitude;
- Be computer savvy.
You are on your feet for 8.5 hours a day, lifting and handling items such as outdoor furniture settings and bbq’s so an element of physical fitness and ability is required.
Experience in a similar role, and/or retail environment will be beneficial. Reporting to the Retail manager, this is a full-time permanent role for 42.5 hours a week.
