SAP Merchandise Functional Consultant

We are working on one of New Zealand’s largest SAP S4 Hana and SAP Commerce Cloud implementations in the retail sector and are on the lookout for a talented SAP Merchandise Functional Consultant to join our Albany-based Support Centre team.

In this pivotal role, you will transform business needs into cutting-edge SAP solutions while leading initiatives in Pricing, Promotions, and Master Data. You'll work hand-in-hand with delivery teams and partners to craft process artefacts, functional specifications, test cases, deployment plans, and training materials. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring system stability and driving continuous improvement in our business processes.

Reporting to the SAP Merchandise Functional Lead, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:

• Partner with Business SMEs and Leaders to provide SAP knowledge on Pricing, Promotions, and Master Data.
• Ensure the functional quality of the Mitre 10 Retail SAP Solution.
• Own the development of Pricing, Promotions, and Master Data areas.
• Design and deliver SAP Retail Solutions aligned with business needs and SAP best practices.
• Maintain reliability, performance, and availability of the SAP solution.
• Govern the end-to-end SAP solution from requirements to delivery.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the design and build of optimized SAP solutions.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to monitor solution stability and ROI.

Experience and Capabilities Required:

• At least five years of experience, with SAP in a Retail context.
• Recognized industry expert in SAP Pricing, Promotions, and Master Data.
• Thorough understanding of retail processes and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems, especially in retail use.
• Experience with external vendors in SAP project implementation.
• Familiarity with various delivery methodologies (Traditional, Kanban, Scrum).
