Retail Manager - Home & Gardens - Mitre 10 MEGA Ruakura

Reporting to the General Manager - Retail you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Seasonal & Gardens departments to achieve maximum profitability, growth and efficiency within the Seasonal & Gardens departmental aspects and procedures. 

This will see you taking accountability for:

• Ensuring the Seasonal & Gardens departments are effectively managed and maintained at all times;
• Work with the General Manager - Retail to continually improve stock availability and inventory controls;
• Ensure customers are the number one priority, receiving the high standard of service they deserve; 
• Driving sales and profits within the Seasonal & Gardens departments, ensuring sales targets are being met; and
• Oversee Seasonal & Gardens departments supervisors to ensure they are performing their role as required & promoting a strong team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
  

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong retail leadership experience;
• Sound experience in managing and mentoring staff;
• A solution-based sales background;
• Strong organisational skills;
• A passion for customer service excellence; and
• Ability to manage a varied and busy workload.
• Ability to obtain First Aid & Dangerous Goods Certificate.

This role is 45 hours per week worked across Tuesday to Saturday.
