Retail Leader | Mitre 10 MEGA Albany

About the role

Reporting to the Retail Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of customer-focused departments and support performance across sales, service and operational measures.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend most of your time on the shop floor leading by example, coaching your team, supporting customers and helping your departments perform across sales, service and operational measures.

Customers often visit these departments looking for more than just a product. They're looking for advice, product knowledge and practical solutions to help complete projects around their homes.

Success in this role comes from developing a capable team, creating great customer experiences and leading departments that customers want to shop in. You'll also play an important role in maintaining presentation standards, supporting department performance and helping your team achieve their goals every day.

What you’ll bring

• Experience leading a team within retail, trade, home improvement or customer-facing environments
• A genuine interest in developing people and helping others succeed
• A strong customer-first mindset and commitment to delivering outstanding service
• An understanding that great customer experiences drive strong sales results
• The ability to balance customer service, people leadership and department performance
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A preference for being on the shop floor rather than behind a desk
