Rebates Administrator

Mitre 10 has been a part of New Zealand's home improvement culture since 1974. An award-winning success story, inspiring Kiwi to love where they live, work and play with our home improvement, garden and trade offer.

We’re looking for a detail‑driven Rebates Administrator to join our Finance team.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be the go‑to person for rebates across multiple Mitre 10 stores and national suppliers. You’ll play a key part in making sure rebate processes are accurate, timely, and well‑communicated, helping maintain the financial health and reputation of the Mitre 10 Co‑operative.

You’ll be supported by our Finance Manager and work closely with Finance Business Partners and Assistant Accountants in a collaborative, down‑to‑earth team environment.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are exactly the same, but your core responsibilities will include:

  • Running rebates through the SAP rebate module
  • Managing and responding to Zendesk and email enquiries
  • Owning the Mitre 10 Rebates inbox — answering queries, providing documentation, and supporting stores and suppliers
  • Completing month‑end tasks, including reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support
  • Helping identify and implement improvements to systems and processes
  • Supporting the team with accurate documentation, reporting, and general administration

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll bring:

  • Experience working with a large ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Solid Excel and analytical skills
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or as an Assistant Accountant (advantageous)
  • Confidence working in a team environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Why you’ll love working with us:

We genuinely care about our people, and we’re committed to helping you thrive, at work and outside of it. You’ll enjoy:

  • Mitre 10 team member discounts
  • Flexible working options
  • Birthday leave (your special day off, on us!)
  • Life and trauma insurance
  • One paid wellness day per year

If you enjoy working with numbers, systems, and people, and you like being the person others rely on, we’d love to hear from you.
