Product Owner - Finance

Join our Albany-based Support Centre as a Product Owner within our Finance Squad! This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving value within a major program of work.
As a Product Owner at Mitre 10, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and deliver impactful finance solutions, helping us enhance our service offerings and meet strategic goals.You will be a key member of our finance delivery team, responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into clear and actionable features and user stories. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager, stakeholders, the development team, and other departments to ensure successful product delivery and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll deliver:
- Develop and maintain a prioritised product backlog that aligns with the solution roadmap and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and the development team to gather requirements and create clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, finance and customer migration team, to ensure a shared understanding of the solution vision and successful product development.
- Participate in sprint planning and other scrum ceremonies to communicate the priorities and requirements to the development team. Collaborate with the team to estimate the effort required for each user story.
- Develop, coach and support a high performing team.
What can you bring to the role?
- Minimum of four years’ experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile software development environment within a finance environment.
- Training in agile methodologies such as Scrum and an ability to convey a deep understanding of agile practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills including solving for unique situations and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong leadership skills in coaching, influencing and creating high performing teams
