Procurement & Inventory Specialist

This is a key role within our Mitre 10 Ponsonby store – it is about creating a great shopping experience for our customers by ensuring optimum levels of stock in store. Mitre 10 is at an exciting juncture where we are going to roll out key strategic initiatives to improve how we show up in market, how we work, the way we work and getting work done. 

This is a full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (very occasional support may be needed on weekends)) senior, specialist position within the business, with the ability to really grow and advance your career! 

The focus of this role is on:

• Utilise SAP systems to manage stock from a procurement focus, through to POS.
• Working with leadership heads, to identify opportunities around stock levels and ranging.
• Forming relationships with suppliers to ensure timely positive outcomes around stock opportunities.
• maximizing the integrity of physical and computerized inventory records
• Working with instore POS, promotional ticketing, and resources, to ensure stock compliance around Mitre 10 Promotional initiatives.
• ensuring product is accurately tracked in-store and replenished, and investigating any stock discrepancies
• assisting with the implementation of stock takes and stock take procedures
• ensuring the store’s legal obligations are met by ensuring we have sufficient stock on hand at the beginning of advertised promotions.

Do you have?

• Experience using SAP resource planning systems (ideal but not essential)
• Understanding of inwards goods and stock receipting process’s
• Experience with invoice reconciliation 
• Solid knowledge of data analysis and forecasting techniques. 
• An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding organisational and critical thinking skills
