Power Tool & Hardware Specialist | Full Time | Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale

We're looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused specialist to join our Power Tools and Hardware team. This is more than a standard retail role. You'll be one of the department's go-to experts, helping customers compare products, understand their options and choose the right solution for the job.

Whether it's helping a customer decide between brands, recommending the right accessories or sharing practical advice on tool applications, you'll combine specialist product knowledge with great customer service to help customers make the right choice.

Your Day-to-Day

Based in our Power Tools and Hardware department, you'll work closely with customers, support your teammates and help drive a well-presented, high-performing department.

This is a hands-on retail role that combines customer service, specialist product knowledge, merchandising and stock handling. You'll spend your day on the shop floor helping customers, maintaining standards and ensuring the department is fully stocked, organised and ready for trade.

This is a full-time position working across a roster that includes weekends and may include some early starts and late finishes.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience working with power tools, hardware products, trade tools or related trade products
• Strong knowledge of power tools, accessories and hardware applications
• The ability to explain product differences and recommend solutions based on customer needs and budget
• Confidence engaging with customers and providing practical product advice
• A hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Good attention to detail and high standards of presentation
• A forklift licence would be advantageous, but is not essential
