People Advisor (32 hours)

We are on the lookout for a passionate People Advisor (32 hours) to join our People Partnering team and play a key role in shaping how our team members feel, grow, and thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and be a trusted advisor to our store network and Support Centre teams, bringing your ER know‑how, people insights, and continuous improvement mindset to a team committed to making Mitre 10 an irresistible place to work.
What you’ll be doing
As our People Advisor, you’ll be the go‑to person for our stores and business partners, providing practical, people‑focused advice every day. You’ll work across a wide variety of people processes and cyclical activities, helping leaders make great decisions for their teams.
You'll make an impact through:
- Provide day‑to‑day HR and ER support to our stores
- Assist People Business Partners across performance, change, and ER activity
- Coordinate key cyclical processes (PGS, year‑end performance, salary reviews, VoT) Prepare employee documentation (variations, parental leave, etc.)
- Be an SME for HumanForce HR and Qualtrics
- Produce people insights and quarterly reporting
- Support onboarding, offboarding and employee record management
- Provide general administrative support to keep the
People Partnering team running smoothly
What you’ll bring
You’ll thrive here if you enjoy helping leaders navigate people challenges with confidence, have a continuous improvement mindset, and love turning data into insights.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 2+ years’ experience in an HR or ER‑focused role
- A degree in HR or Law (preferred but not essential)
- Strong analytical capability and confidence with people metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities, stay organised, and deliver high‑quality work under pressure
- A collaborative, customer‑centric approach
- Experience in retail and familiarity with M365 tools (advantageous)
