About the Role

This is one of the most important roles in our store — and it sits right on the shop floor where it counts. Gets satisfaction from seeing customers leave confident and projects come together.

  • As our Outdoor Living Specialist, you’ll support customers across our full Seasonal range — including heating and cooling products, outdoor furniture, BBQs, camping gear, and related accessories.
  • This role blends customer interaction, sales, and merchandising — so it’s just as much about how you connect with people as it is about how the department looks and performs.
  • This is a full-time position, working across a fixed roster which may include some late nights (up to 7pm), some early mornings (from 7am), and some weekends (at least one weekend day).

Your Day-to-Day

  • Proactively approach customers and assist them across the Outdoor Living product range
  • Recommend products and solutions with confidence
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising, stock flow, and presentation
  • Replenish stock and ensure displays are full, clean, and ready to sell
  • Support across the wider store when needed — it’s a team effort

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in retail, sales, or a customer-facing role required
  • Experience in outdoor living, furniture, BBQs, or seasonal retail preferred
  • Confidence speaking with customers and making recommendations
  • A forklift licence (or a willingness to learn — we’ll support you if you have a full drivers license)
  • A reliable, positive approach to work — you consistently show up and get stuck in
  • Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining standards
  • Availability to work a full-time roster, including weekends and some early starts/late finishes
  • A reasonable commute to Silverdale and reliable transport
