Mitre 10 MEGA Papamoa Loss Prevention
It’s an exciting time for us as we get ready to open our brand-new Mitre 10 MEGA store at The Sands in Papamoa later this year.
Locally owned and operated, we’re passionate retailers who take pride in supporting our team to deliver great service and practical solutions for our customers. As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we’re now recruiting 4 Loss Prevention Team Members to join our new store. These roles make up 3 FTE in total and include 2 full-time and 2 part-time positions, working between 20-40 hours per week across 3 to 5 days, including one weekend day.

About the Role
In this role, you’ll help reduce shrink across the store by identifying, deterring, and reporting risks, including theft, process gaps, and compliance breaches. You’ll support the safety of customers and team members through monitoring, reporting, auditing, and promoting strong loss prevention practices across the store.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Patrol high-risk areas, monitor CCTV, and report suspicious behaviour
- Support team members with de-escalation and safe incident responses
- Complete incident reports and evidence logs, and liaise with managers and police when appropriate
- Audit high-risk processes such as refunds, high-value items, and secured stock
- Apply loss prevention safety protocols, including safe distancing, radio or duress procedures, and escalation in line with store processes
What You’ll Bring
- Strong observation skills, situational awareness, and calm judgement
- Clear communication, with the ability to interact professionally and complete accurate reporting
- Integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Confidence using CCTV systems, incident reporting tools, and evidence handling processes, or the ability to learn quickly
- An understanding of loss prevention procedures, legal considerations, and safe escalation practices
- Awareness of health and safety protocols for conflict management and emergency response
