MEGA Kapiti Merchandise Manager/Buyer

Locally owned and operated, Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti is now seeking a Merchandise Manager/Buyer to become an integral part of the BIGGEST home improvement store on the Kapiti Coast.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior Manager to join our Team. This role is pivotal to our Company's success, driving maximum performance from all Team members while optimizing inventory, replenishment, and margin management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Stock Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the store stock file.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in stock availability and related processes.
• Optimize Stock Turnover: Increase stock turnover and reduce slow-moving lines.
• Monitor Replenishment: Oversee all replenishment processes to ensure efficiency.
• Prepare Orders: Manage the preparation of major promotional and seasonal indent stock orders.
• Coordinate Range Reviews: Lead the implementation of range reviews.
• Lead Inventory Team: Guide and support the Inventory & Stocktaking Team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in inventory management and stock control.
• Strong leadership and Team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively.
