A bit about the role…
We’re looking for a confident and reliable Profit Protection / Security Team Member to join our team at Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt.
This is an important role focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for both customers and team members. You’ll help minimise loss and protect company assets, while maintaining a visible and professional presence on the shop floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring store activity to prevent theft and damage
- Maintaining a strong and visible security presence
- Supporting loss prevention initiatives and reducing shrinkage
- Monitoring CCTV and security systems
- Providing excellent customer service while maintaining store security
- Helping maintain a safe and secure store environment
What we’re looking for…
We’re seeking someone who is observant, professional, and confident in their approach. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- A calm, confident, and professional manner
- The ability to think quickly and respond appropriately
- Experience using CCTV or monitoring equipment (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- A good level of fitness, as the role requires standing and walking for extended periods
- A good understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Strong integrity and reliability
Role details:
- Part Time position
- Roster: Thursday – Saturday (2pm - 6pm)
