Kitchen Designer/Sales Consultant MEGA Prestons

Mitre 10 MEGA Prestons | Full-Time | One Weekend Day Required

We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer / Sales Consultant to join our Kitchen & Bathroom team at Mitre 10 MEGA Prestons.

This is a showroom-based role where you’ll work directly with customers to bring their kitchen, bathroom and laundry projects to life. You’ll take customers from their initial ideas and requirements through to design, quoting, ordering and completion, making sure they feel supported throughout the process.

You’ll work closely with customers and other team members to create practical, well-designed solutions that meet their needs and budget.

What you’ll be doing

Meeting with customers to understand their needs, style and budget

• Designing and quoting kitchens, bathrooms and laundries
• Recommending appliances and products that suit the customer's project
• Managing projects from initial consultation through to ordering and completion
• Keeping on top of orders, timelines and project details
• Working with other team members to achieve the best outcome for the customer
• Keeping customers informed throughout their project
• Using your creativity and problem-solving skills to find solutions that work

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in kitchen or bathroom design and sales
• A strong customer service and sales focus
• Experience using CAD-based design software
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Confidence working independently while also being part of a wider team
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• The ability to listen to customers and genuinely understand what they need
• A positive attitude and a good sense of humour
• A willingness to learn and adapt
• Availability to work one weekend day each week

Ideally, you’ll have 2+ years' experience in kitchen design and sales, with a proven ability to take a project from concept through to completion.
