Kitchen Designer - Mitre 10 MEGA Glenfield

Kitchens and Bathrooms are key inspirational areas within our store with an exciting range of products. The key to all of this is really listening to our customers’ requirements and presenting the right solutions regardless of the project on hand.

Reporting to the Showroom Department Head you will be responsible for: 

• Designing effective kitchen and bathroom layouts that meet customer needs using our WINNER design software
• Designing workable kitchens and bathrooms ensuring full specification provided to the customer
• Plan and maintain regular customer liaison including timely prepared quotations
• Liaise with customer regarding the installation/progress dates
• Face to face and over the phone sales
• Providing our customers with excellent product advice plus handy tips for them to walk away with

For this position we are looking for someone who has:

• Drive and enthusiasm with an absolute passion for customer service excellence
• The ability to think laterally, identify solutions and be creative
• Ability to cope with time sensitive tasks and working under pressure
• Strong liaison and great communication skills with the ability to meet and exceed the expectations of senior management, other staff, builders, suppliers, existing and new DIY and Trade customers alike
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Customer focused with a friendly and approachable manner
• The willingness to learn and expand into new areas
• Kitchen design experience would be advantageous

Your ability to confidently recommend and sell appropriate products is needed, along with your proven industry knowledge. Experience in a similar environment is desirable, however excellent customer service and sales skills are the key to being successful in this role.
