Kitchen Consultant - Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua

Your locally owned and operated Mitre 10 MEGA Rotorua is looking for a new Kitchen Consultant to join our Kitchen Team.

This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term position covering a team member’s parental leave.

Tuesday to Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm &  Saturday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (36 Hours)

This role starts ASAP and is ideal for someone with a flair for design and a strong customer service mindset.

You’ll be working directly with customers to bring their kitchen projects to life—handling consults, creating small kitchen designs, and supporting the wider retail workload. From drafting CAD designs and processing orders to assisting with installation and follow-ups, you’ll be involved at every stage of the journey.

The ideal candidate would have:

• A confident, friendly approach when dealing with internal and external customers;
• A high level of accuracy in all areas of work;
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills;
• The physical capability to manage the manual handling requirements of the role;
• Previous experience in a similar design role would be an advantage.
• The ability to work well under pressure;
• Can work well within a team and independently
