JUNIOR RETAIL ASSISTANT

Full-Time Permanent Position – Mitre 10 Martinborough

Full Training Provided | Physically Active Role | Must Have Driver’s Licence

Ideally suited to someone residing in the South Wairarapa

Mitre 10 Martinborough, a locally owned and operated business, is looking for a reliable, easy-going, and physically fit individual to join our retail team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who’s keen to learn, enjoys staying active, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting customers with product queries and purchases
• Replenishing stock and maintaining tidy displays
• You’ll be up and down ladders all day long, lifting, shifting, and stocking heavy items — this role demands serious strength and stamina
• Participating in regular stocktakes and inventory management
• Supporting the team with general store operations

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrates outstanding physical fitness and manual handling capability
• Willing and able to climb ladders throughout the day
• Must hold a current driver’s licence (full or close to full preferred)
• Forklift licence is a bonus – or willingness to obtain one
• Easy-going, dependable, and a great team player
• Full training provided – just bring your energy and reliability
