IWG Forklift Team Member - Mitre 10 MEGA Hornby

Mitre 10 MEGA Hornby is a family-owned Christchurch business which strives to offer exceptional customer service to every customer-every time.

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join our Inwards Goods Team. In addition to unloading of stock, you will also be responsible for assisting in checking, receipting and coordinating of stock into the store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining our high standards and brand
• Confidence and maturity to adhere to procedures and communicate with in store departments as stock arrives
• Well organized and reliable
• Determination to work hard and see things through to the end, in a demanding environment
• Enthusiastic and a real team player
• Ability to strategically remedy issues with deliveries and follow up with effective remedies
• Full license with Forklift license and F endorsement would be an advantage, or full license with the willingness to obtain forklift license.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment
• A valid F endorsed forklift license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
• Honest and reliable timekeeping
• A willingness to learn
• Good communications skills

The role is full time approximately 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
