Inwards Goods


At Mitre 10 Te Anau, our team works together to keep things moving - literally.  We're looking for an Inwards Goods Team Member on a permanent full time basis, who takes pride in organization, teamwork, and getting the job done right.  If you enjoy hands on work and being part of a supportive local team, this could be the role for you.

Monday to Friday - 8.00am - 5.00pm - 40 hours p/w

Purpose:

Ensure accurate, safe receipt of deliveries and efficient movement of stock to the floor or reserve.

Support inventory accuracy and timely replenishment to keep product available for customers.

 Key Deliverables:

  • Unload, check, and receipt inbound shipments; confirm quantities against paperwork.
  • Inspect for damage/discrepancies; stage stock for merchandising.
  • Use RF scanning for receiving and location updates; maintain tidy dock and reserve areas.
  • Follow loading dock traffic controls and pallet stacking standards to prevent obstructions and product damage.
  • Follow manual handling and forklift safety; complete required checklists.
  • Work with departments on priority replenishment and promotional set‑ups.
  • Audit receiving accuracy; manage supplier follow‑ups.
  • Log paperwork against purchase orders in the computer system
  • Ensure H&S compliance—manual handling, forklift checks, and traffic management; proactively identify hazards, address risks, and maintain a safe environment for customers and team.

 Technical Skills:

  • RF scanner operation, receiving transactions, and location management.
  • Basic inventory system navigation and discrepancy processing.
  • Forklift licence (where applicable, training provided if required) and pallet jack use.
  • Knowledge of H&S, and manual handling standards.
  • Inventory/receiving systems and RF devices.
