About the role
- This role offers a competitive salary based on relevant experience, alongside a range of employee benefits. This position is an on-site, permanent, full-time opportunity, based at Mitre 10 MEGA Albany.
- Reporting directly to the Chief Merchandise Officer, this senior individual contributor role is all about owning our inventory and procurement processes; balancing stock flow, and forecasting, across five stores and a distribution center.
- The role requires strong interpersonal skills, as communication with stakeholders across our stores, support center, and our supplier network is essential.
- This is a strategic, hands-on role with no direct reports, ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy and wants to make a real impact across the business.
Your Day-to-Day
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Analyze purchasing and stock movement data to support buying decisions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales trends, supplier performance, and inventory KPIs.
- Forecast future demand based on historical trends and promotional planning.
- Work with purchasing officers to optimise order cycles and stock coverage.
- Produce and monitor meaningful data reports to assist with the company GMROI, GMROS, Stockturn targets.
- Assist the business with its preparation for SAP readiness and future SAP transition.
- Assist with system improvements and process enhancements.
- Interact with business stakeholders, internal and external.
- Provide weekly and monthly business updates.
What will
you bring?
- 3+ years in a senior inventory, purchasing, or procurement role.
- Hands-on experience with inventory forecasting, promotional planning, and supplier engagement.
- Strong skills in Power BI, and Data Warehouse.
- Snowflake knowledge and experience preferred.
- SAP experience advantageous.
- A sharp analytical mind and excellent communication skills.
