HR and H&S Coordinator

We’re on the lookout for a people focused, process driven HR and Health & Safety Coordinator to join our passionate People Team at Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington, Auckland. This is a full-time, fixed-term role (February – September 2025) with flexibility for the right person including the option for reduced hours.

What you will do:
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising and screening to interviews and onboarding.
- Prepare accurate employment agreements and HR documentation.
- Provide hands on HR support to leaders and team members, including performance and development processes.
- Help deliver staff H&S training, inductions and onboarding, and engagement activities that bring our culture to life.
- Keep H&S records and registers up to date.
- Support incident investigations, H&S inspections and follow up actions.
- Drive HR and H&S projects, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
What you will bring:
- At least 1 year of experience in HR and/or H&S support within a complex environment (retail, distribution, or manufacturing is a plus).
- Working knowledge of NZ Employment Relations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ideally, a tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A knack for improving processes and systems.
- A collaborative mindset and passion for building a positive, safety conscious culture.
