About the Role

As the Head of Trade Operations, you will lead the operational performance of our Drive‑Thru Trade Yard and support our growing trade customer base. You’ll oversee a team of up to 15 people, ensuring exceptional service delivery, outstanding stock management, and strong customer and supplier relationships.

This is a proactive, boots‑on-the-ground leadership role where you’ll drive standards, streamline processes, and foster a positive, safe, and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the trade and drive‑thru teams to deliver market‑leading customer service
• Oversee stock flow, order picking, and efficient operational practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers and suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Support trade sales growth through strong communication and teamwork with internal stakeholders
• Ensure accurate, timely handling of inbound and outbound inventory
• Use data and insights to support merchandising, pricing, and operational decisions

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, initiative, and strong people leadership. You will have:

• Proven leadership experience within trade, building, construction, or hardware sectors
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• Strong operational capability with a practical, hands‑on approach
• Experience managing inventory and high‑volume trade operations
• A solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to think ahead
• A commitment to Health & Safety and building a great team culture
• Physical fitness and confidence with manual handling and forklift operations

Roster & Hours

• Monday–Friday
• Weekend work as required
• 40 hours per week (no late nights or split shifts)
