We're looking for an outstanding Head of Retail Specialists to lead a critical function that connects specialist expertise with store execution across our cooperative. This role will play a key part in lifting capability, consistency and performance across the network by ensuring our members have access to the right knowledge, tools and support to achieve sustainable success.

Reporting to the Chief Retail & Network Performance Officer, you'll lead a team of specialists across areas including Garden, Inventory and Loss Prevention, helping our stores translate insight into action, improve operational performance and deliver great customer outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead and develop a team of retail specialists, fostering a high-performance culture focused on capability, collaboration and results.
• Drive store performance by delivering specialist support that improves customer outcomes, operational effectiveness and commercial performance.
• Establish and embed best-practice frameworks, tools and programmes across specialist disciplines to lift network capability and consistency.
• Use data, insights and performance measures to identify opportunities and maximise the impact of specialist support across the cooperative.
• Influence strategic priorities and ensure specialist activity is aligned to broader customer, commercial and transformation objectives.
• Build strong relationships across the network, acting as a trusted partner to members, stores and key stakeholders.

What you'll bring

• Senior leadership experience in a large-scale retail environment
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of improving business performance
• Experience in specialist retail disciplines such as inventory, category management, retail operations or loss prevention
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• The ability to translate strategy into practical store-level execution
• Strong analytical capability with a data-informed approach to decision making
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams through change and transformation.
