Hardware Retail Sales Assistant - Mitre 10 MEGA Glenfield

The Role

Screws, nails, bolts, locks, plumbing, power tools - you name it! The hardware department is where it all started.

This is a great opportunity to join our dedicated team. We are seeking candidates that can deliver excellent customer service to our Trade and DIY customers and assist them to find the right products to meet their needs.

Your daily duties will vary from customer service, bringing in stock, replenishing shelves, merchandising new products and much more. You will be part of a very supportive and knowledgeable team that works together to deliver great service.  Experience is preferred but we will train the successful team member.

We have a permanent, part time role available (16 hours per week), Friday and Saturday with a general hardware focus.

You will be an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a team environment and has a customer-centred approach.

The ideal candidate will possess, and be able to demonstrate:

• an interest in tools, hand tools and a hands-on approach
• an ability to take the initiative, be mature and autonomous
• excellent listening and communication skills
• basic computer literacy
• a solution-focused mindset
• ability to juggle different priorities and remain focused
• DIY/hardware and customer service (desirable but not essential)
