Green Garden Team Member, Fixed Term

Kiwi’s love to garden and we love to advise them with their gardening needs.  Did you know that Mitre 10 is New Zealand’s leading gardening retailer and we have an opportunity within our new expanded Garden Centre where you can assist customers with their "green" supplies! 

Your gardening passion may come from time in your own back-yard or you may have undertaken horticultural training, either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants. Ideally you will be experienced with the knowledge of both green and dry garden goods, although applicants with a proven retail background and who are eager to learn will be considered.

 To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 100% customer focus, consistently capturing all our customers' needs
• Be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• A knowledge of green goods, plant care, garden hardware and associated products is preferred
• Experience in the retail industry
• A quick and alert mind with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work individually and as a member of the team 

 This role is for a fixed term till end of February, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (24 hours) with an immediate start.
