🌱 About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Team Member to join our Gardens Department. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working around plants and outdoor products, has a strong interest in gardening, and is confident helping customers find the right solutions for their gardens.

You will work alongside an experienced team assisting customers with plants, garden care products, soils, landscaping supplies, and seasonal gardening needs.

This active role includes weekend work as part of the roster. Depending on experience and expertise, this position may also provide opportunities to take on greater product specialisation within the department.

🌼 What You’ll Bring

A horticulture qualification or extensive gardening experience would be highly regarded. Ideally, you will bring a genuine interest in gardening along with practical product knowledge and a hands-on approach in terms of the demands of the role.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in areas such as:

• Horticulture or nursery work; landscaping or garden maintenance
• Retail experience within a garden centre or hardware environment
• Strong plant knowledge and seasonal gardening understanding
• Confidence advising customers on soils, fertilisers, pest control, and plant care
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist across the department
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliability and the ability to work as part of a busy retail team
• You would ideally be a local Silverdale resident (or live in a nearby neighbourhood).

🌻 Key Responsibilities

This is a physically active role and involves working both indoors and outdoors across the department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers with plant selection and garden solutions
• Providing knowledgeable advice on gardening products and plant care
• Merchandising and maintaining plant displays and garden products
• Supporting stock replenishment and seasonal product changes
• Maintaining high presentation standards across the garden department
• Working collaboratively with the wider store team to deliver excellent service
