Front-End Supervisor - Mitre 10 MEGA Whanganui

As Front-End Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front-end department. You will be responsible for overseeing cashier operations, coordinating staff scheduling, and handling general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support front-end staff, including cashiers and customer service associates.
- Ensure efficient and accurate cashier operations, including cash handling, transaction processing, and customer inquiries.
- Coordinate staff scheduling and manage employee rostering to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and weekends.
- Provide training and guidance to front-end staff on customer service standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Handle customer escalations and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Uphold company values and standards of excellence in all interactions with customers and team members.
You will need to possess the following skills:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and POS systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for customers.
This role is fulltime, 40 hours per week, including a weekend shift.
