Finance Master Data Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Albany based Support Centre as a Finance Master Data Specialist.

As part of the Finance team, you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of incoming requests, handling supplier maintenance tasks in the SAP system, and scrutinizing suppliers' data to uphold a high standard of accuracy. Your responsibilities also include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address any issues discovered throughout the process.

A key focus will be establishing and managing supplier records and bank details, coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service through consistent training and general process support. Our overarching objective is to mitigate any audit risks, ensuring a smooth and compliant operational environment.

Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager your key functions will include:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for business questions related to supplier master data.
  • Complete requests for supplier master data in a timely, accurate manner by performing integrity checks to ensure a high quality of master data.
  • Ensure all requests contain the appropriate supporting documentation and comply with corporate requirements before they are implemented into SAP.
  • Analyse and improve data quality, which includes running regular scheduled data audit reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and develop new processes to prevent future data quality issues, including taking necessary corrective action.
  • Extending suppliers to member entities in SAP after approval and validation according to the policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Previous work experience in Supplier Master Data and SAP and Esker system experience is considered a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
