Mitre 10 Stratford is proudly locally owned and operated, serving our community with quality products and great customer service. We currently have one full‑time Drive Thru Team Member role available, 36 hrs per week including weekend work, in our busy Drive Thru area.

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and helping customers get what they need efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet and assist Drive Thru and Trade customers in a friendly, helpful manner
  • Support customers with product selection, loading, and general enquiries
  • Deliver efficient service while maintaining a professional, positive attitude

Operational & Physical Duties

  • Safely load and unload building materials and bulk products
  • Keep the Drive Thru and yard areas clean, tidy, and well organised
  • Assist with stock movement and general day‑to‑day operations

Health & Safety

  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Help maintain a safe environment for customers and team members

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Good physical fitness and confidence with regular heavy lifting
  • A full NZ Driver Licence (essential)
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work Saturdays
  • Previous retail, trade, or yard experience is an advantage, but not essential — full training will be provided
