Class 5 driver/storeperson

Reporting to the Trade Team Leader, this role will see you take on responsibility for getting customers building supplies/retail orders to site as per their delivery instructions providing excellent customer service.
The primary focus of this role is customer service while ensuring the safe, efficient and professional delivery, handling, storage and movement of goods, this role supports the Trade Department though Class 5 vehicle operation, warehouse and yard activities, stock management, customer assistance and operational support
The successful applicant must be an experienced class 5 driver with a strong commitment to safe work practices,
In addition, we are ideally seeking
Essential
- Current Class 5 driver license
- Current Forklift Operator Certificate
- Current F Endorsement
- Soud knowledge of safe loading and load restraint requirements
- Understanding of transport compliance obligations and road regulations
- Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles, forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Ability to pick, pack and process customer orders
Desirable
- Hiab crane experience and/or certification
- Experience with building supplies, warehousing, transport, or construction industries
- Knowledge of timber, hardware and building materials
- Experience using inventory, dispatch or point of sale systems
This position is for 5 days a week for 39.5 hours, days and times are to be confirmed but may involve one weekend day.
